Shah Rukh Khan, known worldwide as “King Khan” and “King of Bollywood”, was born on November 2, 1965, in New Delhi, India. He belonged to a middle-class Muslim family. His father, Mir Taj Muhammad Khan, was a freedom fighter, while his mother, Latifah Fatima, was a homemaker. Shahrukh was raised in Delhi and had a simple childhood. His family struggled financially, but his parents always emphasized the importance of education and self-reliance.

Education:

Shah Rukh Khan received his early education at St. Columbus School in Delhi, where he was a brilliant student and excelled in sports. He was especially interested in hockey and football. Shah Rukh Khan was awarded the “Sword of Honour”, the school’s highest honor.

After that, he graduated from Hans Raj College, Delhi University, where his interest turned to theatre and drama. Later, he attempted to pursue a Master's in Mass Communication from Jamia Millia Islamia University but did not complete his studies due to his interest in acting. Shahrukh Khan also trained in acting under renowned Delhi theatre director Brij Mohan Shah.

Start of Film Career:

Shahrukh Khan began his career in television in 1989 where he acted in popular dramas like “Fuji” and “Circus”. His acting and charming personality soon made him popular among the masses. However, he became one of the prominent faces of the film world after making his debut in Bollywood with the film “Deewana” in 1992.

Initially, Shah Rukh played several negative roles such as in the films “Bazigar” (1993), “Dur” (1993), and “Anjam” (1994). But his brilliant acting and unique style helped him make a place for himself in the industry.

Shah Rukh Khan's real recognition came in 1995 when he acted in "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" (DDLJ).
